On Sunday 11 April 2010 at 07:00 (BST) we will be performing a major upgrade to our database software. The upgrade will cause our registration systems to be unavailable from 07:00 until 13:00 (BST).
During this time Online Services including web domain manager and PRSS, EPP, and ENUM registration systems will be unavailable. The automaton will not process email requests, but they will be received and queued for processing when it restarts. All of our registration systems will restart simultaneously at 13:00, at which point EPP requests will be accepted and the automaton will start to process queued requests - it is therefore possible that an EPP request may be processed sooner than an earlier automaton request for the same domain name.
WHOIS and DAC services will be moved to our backup data centre so will continue to operate as normal. This upgrade is to our database software only and no functionality changes will be made to our systems during this maintenance outage.

At 07:00am on Tuesday 9 March 2010 we will have a systems outage lasting about 1 hour when we will be deploying a software upgrade. During this time Online Services, EPP and ENUM registration systems will be unavailable. The automaton will not process email requests, but they will be received and queued for processing when it restarts.
All other Nominet systems will continue to work as normal during this period.

This morning from 10:17 to 10:38 we experienced some intermittent issues with our DAC and WHOIS2 services. The problem resulted in some users being disconnected from these services. The issue has been identified and resolved. All services are now working correctly.
