Richard Kirkendall, CEO of NameCheap has this week confirmed he has paid £120,000 for the domain Mobile.co.uk .
This follows in the wake of some public sales figures notabley Recycle.co.uk for £153,000 , Ink.co.uk £130,000 , Fly.co.uk £87,000 and Employment.co.uk for £17,000.

Large prices are forecast for Sex.co.uk , Phones.co.uk and Sport.co.uk however if reserves will be met is another question. We are aware of two groups looking to pay in excess of £150,000 for two of those names depending on circumstances on the day.
Ebay is often a sales venue for domain names, usually the lesser quality names with high prices. We have recently scoured completed listings for some .CO.UK sales and came up with the following data:

It will be interesting to monitor the whois on some of the sales to see if they complete.
In a Sedo auction that ended a few hours ago Tip.co.uk was sold for £10,501 and another decent name Elizabeth.co.uk reached £1,310 - both of which are interesting pointers in the often secretive .UK market.
